To boost the competitiveness of the Walloon Region in sectors where it already had potential, the Walloon government injected a total € 4.57 billion through the adoption of the first Marshall Plan in 2005 and the Marshall Plan 2.green in 2009.
Another € 2.9 billion will be injected with the Marshall Plan 4.0. which is based on 5 pillars: human capital, industrial development, transport infrastructure, renewable energy and circular economy, and innovation. 

Minister Borsus will present and discuss the new investment plan adopted by the Walloon government providing over 31 projects that business can benefit from being a part of.
Wallonia describes itself as a region in the heart of Europe, giving access to 500 million consumers and with major incentives for businesses to set up and invest in the region, grow their business and thrive.

Minister-President of Walloon Government | Gouvernement wallon

Born in Pessoux in 1962, Willy Borsus graduated from the IESN (Namur) in legal sciences. He started his political carreer in 1989 as Municipal councillor in Somme-Leuze and six years later he became the Mayor of the province. Between 2001 and 2004 he joins the office of Mr Michel Foret, Walloon Minister for Town and Country Planning, Urban Development and the Environment, as an advisor. In parallel and for about 10 years Mr Borsus was very active on the Provincial level in Namur. He was also an active member of the Sustainable Development Committee and subsequently of the Governance Committee of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. He then decided to focus his political career in the Walloon parliament and the Wallonie-Bruxelles Federation, first as MP and then as President of the MR-federation.
