'Medical devices and related legislation' with Gesine Meissner

In September 2012, the European Commission adopted two proposals on medical devices, and on in vitro diagnostic medical devices that, once adopted by the European Parliament and Council, would replace the three existing Medical Device Directives. As shadow rapporteur on this dossier for the ALDE group, Gesine will discuss the current status of medical devices and related legislation within the European Parliament. Following a brief presentation there will be a moderated Q&A session with Ms Meißner to allow participants to pose their own questions on the topic.

Demystifying dismissals: lessons learnt after year one of the new dismissal rules

1 January 2014 saw the introduction of new dismissal rules in Belgium. Since then it is no longer possible to include probationary periods in employment contracts, employees can no longer claim the Claeys Formula and the same dismissal rules apply to both blue-collar and white-collar employees.
